I was down at a friends place who uses Mozilla thuunderbird and Firefox,
I spend some time trying to find out where to configure this problem,
when he reads email with a link attached , example If I send him an
email with a attached link to go to a motorcycle parts website, I click
on the site at it runs Internet Explorer for the browser, where can I
find this to change so it will run Firefox instead of Win Explorer.

Tools > Options > General > System Defaults [CHECKED] Always
check if Firefox is the default browser on start up. Then
click, Check Now.
