I don't have the details on the matter, in whether
w3c made this standard or not, but one way (not
looping) gifs are not working as they were in
Fx2.0.0.* Check my site for the example.

Paradiso... I hope this is a bug and not a feature.
It seems to me that GP caches the last frame
displayed of the gif and restarts playing from it.
Since it doesn't loop, it gets a pain in the ass for
me :\

This indeed seems like a bug in Firefox to me.
I filed https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=398407 for it.
