Summary: Mozilla Firefox 3 Beta 4 blurred images

Comments:
Hi, I've found an issue where some images are blurred and not sharp, but
this does not happen on all images, only some.

An example I have is from this site: http://games.internode.on.net/

The logo, player stats and featured content images are blurred, yet on
Internet Explorer, this does not happen.

I probably should also note that this was not occuring in Beta 3.

Browser Details: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b4) Gecko/2008030714 Firefox/3.0b4

I came across this same issue here:
http://www.vitoria-gasteiz.org/gis/http/website/SIAMi/viewer.htm?MAP=arboladourbano

If I right-click on the image and select "View image", I can see that
the image is not blurred.

Firefox 3 Beta 4 in WinXP.

Yep same for me in Firefox beta 5 on Windows Vista.

For example, Google Docs icons are all blurry even in Text only zoom
mode.

It's quite annoying and I think it needs to be fixed before public
release.

I was having this problem and finally figured out that it was due to
Firefox defaulting to an altered zoom setting, for some reason or
another. If you hit Ctrl-0, or View->Zoom->Reset, you can correct
this.

BTW it was retaining the incorrect zoom level even upon quiting/etc, I
had to manually reset it.

I have encountered the exact same issue in Beta 5, but this solution
does not fix the problem. Here's the page:

Just found (and fixed on my site)

If a block element height is even and the related image background
height is odd and vertically centered (or vice-versa) the image is
blurred.

This will break many layuots imho.
I suggest to add an optional interpolation option via CSS.

I agree with UVL - it's the same experience that I get.
