Since I upgraded to the latest beta version (3.6.4) I've had endless
problems with the process Plugin-container.exe. I've never seen that
before I updated, so I'm going on a limb and saying it may be a feature
of the beta version?
Anytime I'm using a site with flash components (youtube, myspace, etc.)
Plugin-container.exe demolishes my RAM and ultimately crashes firefox.
I hope this information has been somewhat helpful in improving the beta
version for release.
Thanks,
Nick

I'm having the same problems. And when Firefox crashes, it crashes
hard, usually without any notice or notification. The application
just disappears. After I may or may not get an error message about
plugin-container.exe.
Yes i to started having trouble when i got the new ver. Why did they
even have to put this in the bets me. Firefox suppose to be less of a
hog but with all the changes it starting to suck resources.

By the way, I found old Netscape Navigator 8.1.2 is working fine
enough :D
I got 2 gb or ram and this uses around 150mb and hangs the whole page.
can't even close the page. It clears around 3 mins later. its total
rubbish.
Plenty of RAM here too, and good CPU, and ever since I noticed plugin-
container.exe coming up when using plugins in Firefox, I've had MAJOR
slowdown issues, as well as crashes. Well, my girlfriend has crashes a
lot (she plays a lot of flash/java games, I play few, but watch videos
needing plug-ins frequently), not so much me, but even after updating
to brand spanking new 3.6.6 I have nothing but issues when on pages
with plugins. No clue when or why this happened, but it is definitely
not a lack of resources. Even if it WAS on this computer, my laptop
has 3GB of DDR3 and one of the newer AMD dual-core processors and
STILL experiences slow downs doing the same things. Not QUITE as bad,
but the laptop should run just about anything on the web (except maybe
really big, complicated, involved graphical games) without much
slowdown, and seemingly as a result of plugin-container.exe it ends up
lagging. Sadly, IE doesn't lag on the laptop when doing the same
things. Much worse browser overall, but at least it doesnt eat
resources JUST because I want to use a plug-in. Not that I'd really
use it, but did it as a test, and I think it just proves how sad this
is.

P.S. I know this may have wound up in the wrong "area" but blame
Google for linking me to these as search results. Most of it was
talking about 3.6.3 or 3.6.4 in regards to plugin-container.exe, and I
needed to voice this frustration somewhere haha
Just wanted to put in my two cents and say I'm having the same exact
problems here...and getting extremely frustrated. I play a lot of
games on Facebook, and ever since the new update and the addition of
plugin-container.exe I've had more crashes than I can count and in-
game movement is slower than molasses. I hope they fix this issue
soon. I switched to Firefox because I wanted a faster, more
streamlined browser. Ever since this new release, it's feeling too
much like IE for my liking.
I agree. I am not sure which I hate more: Wuauclt.exe or this crap. I
WANT MY COMPUTER BACK!!!!! Who gave these people permission to hijack
our computers?
