You must have taken some from me! Thanks! (I still have 5 though, in case
you are worried I might go through withdrawal.) Good luck!
Friday or maybe some day last week and just a bit over the weekend:
* Booked travel to be at an all day meeting in person in San Francisco this
week.
* Email kill day. Got my email way down. Added yet a few more processes to
help deal with the flow. Talked to Shez and Jeff how we can further
streamline events.
* 1:1's with Ali & the technical evangelists.
* Spent a lot of time thinking about how we (Mozilla) communicate.
* Spent some time thinking about candidates for the developer PR job (
http://careers.mozilla.org/en-US/position/o7shWfww) and the jobs we have
open (http://careers.mozilla.org/en-US/position/o8gkWfwo,
http://careers.mozilla.org/en-US/position/opelWfwE,
http://careers.mozilla.org/en-US/position/owelWfwL) Sent a bunch of names
to Michelle. Please send her any referrals you have for these roles!
* Interviewed a bunch of people. (For our jobs and other jobs at Mozilla.)
* Met with Audree Halasz, our new People partner. Asked her about
development plan information among other things.
* Watched my 11yo perform in Twelfth Night.
* Watched my 5yo and his teammates figure out that passing helps during a
soccer game. (To *lots* of cheering from the parents.)
Today:
* Fennec go to market plan meeting
* 1:1 with Chris Beard, Ali Spivak
* BrowserID
* Mozilla meeting (What is this meeting called?)
* Reach out to a few other folks about how we communicate.
* Get Mozilla calendar back on my phone.
* Order yet another headset and some type of bluetooth keyboard for my
phone.
* And "email" which really means, connecting folks, weighing in on
decisions, keeping up with bugs that I'm interested in, troubleshooting,
organizing, helping approve and communicate event sponsorships, etc.
* Met with Chris More
* Lots of research and discussion into the Websockets Derby and some
limitations that contributors might encounter. Will discuss in the
Hacks post I publish tomorrow.
* More research into the missing January Derby prizes.
* Replied to a very enthusiastic email Alvaro sent me in response my
note thanking him for giving a talk about the Derby. Alvaro is
extremely passionate and loves giving talks. He could make a great
Evangelism Rep!
*Today:
*
* Share thoughts on Creative Collective and MDN
* Share thoughts on conversion points
* Write Hacks post promoting the May Derby (to be published tomorrow)
* Respond to an April Derby contributor who was interested in changing
his username (not possibe, unfortunately)
