Some comments for anyone interested in django-badger:
1) The source and issues are on github, pull requests are always welcome.
https://github.com/lmorchard/django-badger (a reusable django app, home for issues)
https://github.com/lmorchard/badg.us (a playdoh reference site using django-badger)
2) Some ideas I've tossed out there over the past couple of years for badges at mozilla:
* Set up
badges.mozilla.org (or
badg.us) as a general service, to enable any mozillian to create and award badges. Bug 797857 represents the current status of my latest effort to try to make this happen.
* Incorporate django-badger into
mozillians.org to do the above. Might also be interesting to have
mozillians.org act as or incorporate a badge backpack.
* Incorporate django-badger into MDN. Award badges from there not only for MDN wiki and demo activity, but for any developer-related activity across the mozilla project.
