Give items in Aero Glass area ability to change their styling to adapt to Aero's color scheme

This is discussion to bug 577132, where you can add your visions and
ways of how to handle this, if I may say it, cool feature. The are
some very good reasons why to do this:
1. Visually appealing
2. Fits system
3. No other web browser has this feature

Unfortunatelly, I'm not capable of making mockups, so if anybody is
willing to make them, please, do so, I'll be verry greatful for them.

This feature is good for Firefox. It give Firefox the edge of
customization. Allow Firefox to be more colourful than current beta
1(which look a bit too white).
Moreover, the fact that no other web browser have done it means that
no one can say that Firefox is just copying Chrome. Hence it is
something new among the browsers.

Other than that, I would like to talk about my idea that I was
suggesting at bugzilla. If done properly, this feature can be used as
a Window identifying feature.

I propose to allow items in Firefox have the ability to have different
form of setting in different Firefox window.

Example :
Window 1 Firefox Button is Orange Window 2 Firefox button is
Red. Window 3 Firefox Button is Blue. Window 4 Firefox Button is
Pink.
Showing info about Dogs Showing Info about
Japan Showing Info about U.S.A Showing Info
about Cats

Allowing Firefox to exhibit this behaviour would allow users to easily
differentiate and identify different Firefox window.

This ability will be helpful if the user has a lot of Firefox Windows.
Life will be much more easier for him/her if different window has
different colour of Firefox Button.

This ability will improve user-friendliness in Firefox. Another
selling point for Firefox.

Wow, this idea is even more beyond the original idea of this bug.
Cool, though I'm afraid how will this fit with my idea. Mockups is on
it's way, so after it will be finished, we can figour it out how to
use both of our ideas.

I think this is a pretty cool idea. I hadn't get it right away at the
start, but now I see what Henky means. And I like it.

Focusing on the title bar items, I believe that if we're going to do a
proper job and fix this bug [ https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=576960
], we should respect the system settings for the icon styles as well.
Granted, of course, that there isn't much to work from, at least in
Windows 7. The glow effects are really the only thing I can see at the
moment. Because, let's remind ourselves, the plan for buttons in the
title bar is not to show them in a box, but rather just the icon... I
think? So those transparent boxes and so on don't matter much. If at
all.

The Firefox button... Well, I haven't tried it with custom styles, so
I don't know if it even works, but I think it would be good if we
found a way to shape it according to the system's style. If possible.
Is it?

As for the toolbars, I don't really get what Mr. Henky means... Surely
that's a matter of place the system glass and get on with it? I don't
think there's much else to it, in terms of system integration.

I saw mockups with buttons in the box, which I think is a good idea,
'cause having custom bottons without box next to FB and caption
buttons, which do have box, would look weird and incosistent.

It is possible via CSS.

This design is intended only for items in Aero Glass area.

I filed a platform bug so that we can get the capability to access the Aero
glass color: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=578780

I agree that we should try to use this for the progress lines if the user
has a non-default color of glass.

In terms of restyling the Firefox button to match the glass as well, I think
there are a lot of benefits to keeping it a consistent orange (window
recognition, brand recognition, indication of private browsing state).
However, there are certainly some glass colors that don't look that great
when mixed with an orange Firefox button.

I think I sort of misunderstand your idea at first. Well, I guess my
idea is based on the idea that the colour of the Firefox button can be
changed based on users' choice.
