  Thanks for sharing. Even I was able to get going with the jquery with &lt;br&gt; some caveats. &lt;br&gt; If you have created dynamic elements with style overflow, it should &lt;br&gt; work though.

  FYI -- You might look into using JSF for the view framework. I&#39;m &lt;br&gt; pretty sure I&#39;ve seen a JSF component library that renders XUL &lt;br&gt; elements (as opposed to HTML). &lt;br&gt; Or did you intend to use XULRunner as a no-frills web browser and &lt;br&gt; still use HTML for content?

  Problem solved. &lt;br&gt; I actually had the finger on it: the dll was the problem. &lt;br&gt; If other people have this kind of problem here is what worked for me: &lt;br&gt; Just set the Visual Studio project to statically link runtime libraries (/MT &lt;br&gt; option): under C/C++ project settings, by default &amp;quot;Multithreaded library &lt;br&gt; (/MD)&amp;quot; is selected.
