So, pcwalton, brson and I inaugurated the first Servo Hack Day today. Actually, it was only a half day, due to scheduling conflicts. However, we made good progress. dom.js concerns, again

The premise of dom.js seems to be that we can make it faster than jsapi calling into Rust, right?
Do we have any actual data on this? Especially given the "ensure this is an instance of the right interface" bits in WebIDL (which afaict current dom.js simply doesn't do)? Do we have a plan for doing those... more »

I was talking to bholley today, and he raised the question of how we plan, in our proposed dom.js+binarydata setup, to do things like XrayWrapper.
The answer to that probably depends at least in part on how we recognize "our" DOM objects.
