The crashing may have stopped, but it's obviously not happy. I actually tried
to open new tabs and pages in the browser beyond the 12 that have been
auto-opening in recent weeks and left alone, and just about any activity in a
new tab pegs the CPU for quite a while, as does closing those new ones.

It needs rebooting anyway for the clock change. Not means filesystem async
between Peer & Linux on the LAN.
