To add a bit to Dave's reply, here's a paraphrase of what is covered
in the exceptq user docs. As Dave stated, the xqs files must be in
the same directory as the excutables.
Exceptq can use either sym or xqs files or HLL debug data. The HLL
debug data be attached to the excutables or in separate dbg files.
For the Mozilla apps, xqs files are preferred. HLL debug data is
actually better, but this would make the distribution even bulkier
than it already is. The benefit of HLL debug data is the exceptq
reports will conain line number detail.
It might be worthwhile to distribute the dbg files as a separate zip
file, but generating the dbg files would require changes to the build
process.
