Trouble using Popcorn for changing+removing events?
|
| |
Hey,
I've been using Popcorn to implement BrowserCast[0], a tool which helps turn IPython Notebooks into Powerpoint-like presentations.
I've been running into some problems, though… It's not obvious how to change and remove events once they have been created.
For example, if I write a small plugin, then create an event:... more »

Popcorn Maker Triage
|
| |
Hi,
Jon and I, with some help from a few others, WONTFIX'ed a few hundred tickets today in the Popcorn Maker Lighthouse issue tracker. We were aggressive, and closed many bugs that one could argue we still need/want. If you feel that something we've closed is really important, please do the following:... more »

Docs, wiki or tutorial to customize the editor butter and other stuffs.
|
| |
Hello, everyone.
I am engaged in a final project in the university that is related to popcorn maker project.
As I read, the editor can integrate and customize.
The documentation I've found on popcorn.js this quite well and is clear, in no time and did what he wanted with the library.
However, when I try to find information about locally installed once a separate instance of butter, customize it to integrate with my own projects, I can not find sufficient documentation, or I find I see that was last modified 2 years ago (https: / / github.com / mozilla / butter / wiki / Creating-a-Custom-Editor), and if I follow the instructions described in the latest version of Butter, some things have changed.... more »

You should clobber your butter.git directory
|
| |
Today I have landed a number of patches that will require you to clobber your butter directory. You should:
1) Re-initialize your git submodules: git submodule update --init
2) Update your npm modules: npm prune && npm install
3) Delete any untracked content if there's some laying around

Live Streams
|
| |
Hi all,
Not sure if this is the right place to ask this, so excuse me if it isn't.
Recently started using Popcorn for working on a uni project to reflect some of the issues covered over the term. Is there any way for Popcorn to work with live streams? i.e. streams like sports or music events etc.... more »

Invitation to Hot Hacks
|
| |
Hey Popcorn,
The Hot Docs film festival returns to Toronto in May, and we've offered the Mozilla Toronto community space for another Hot Hacks event.
The event will take place over the weekend of April 27 - 28th—like last time, very laid back and chill. There will be 4 - 6 film projects attending and a cocktail hour to screen the finished hacks.... more »

Changing how Popcorn Maker loads Popcorn
|
| |
Hey folks, I'm working on a patch for Popcorn Maker that changes how Popcorn is loaded in the published project. Work is happening in [link]
I'm removing the list of Popcorn plugins from the Cornfield config, and instead listing them inside src/embed.js. The end goal is to get rid of the duplicate configs all around the butter repo (src/default-config.json, per-template config, cornfield config), have a single place that lists Popcorn things, and let RequireJS do the hard work of dependency ordering and loading.... more »

Cleaning up Popcorn.js tickets
|
| |
Hey everyone. Right now we have 267 tickets open in Lighthouse, and many of those are pretty old too. I propose that we close any ticket older than 5 months old, which will get us down into the 30-60 open ticket range.
Thoughts?
