Split Container in XUL

Hi,

Like what Thunderbird has, how can I realize a split container in XUL? I
would like my window to have a treeview on the left, then on the right,
another container that will hold the contents of each node as the user
clicks.

Will be glad to be educated about this subject.

How can I place a statusbar at the bottom of the window?
