I'm cranking the Firefox 4 release information knob to 11 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ll7rWiY5obI)[1]. These status reports will come fairly frequently (currently shooting for twice a day, one in the morning PST and one in late afternoon PST). If that's too much Firefox release awesomeness, feel free to filter on "FF4STATUS" in the subject.

Here's where we are at right now for beta 11:

* All but one bug in the buglist sent yesterday targeting beta 11 got fixed (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=ALL+blocking2.0%3AbetaN+sw%3Ab11). Great work!

* The one bug that "missed" was https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=541656, which we decided to hold on due to possible localization churn

* Firefox 4 beta 11 build #1 started at ~10:50 am PST today

* An issue was found when building on Windows (bug 631006). It was determined the best way forward was to back out the offending bug / changeset (bug 549958 / http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/0d93633ce739)

* As an opportunity fix we also included a slight tweak to the debug patch for bug 626994 to make it actually work

* Build #1 will be thrown away for all platforms

* Nightlies will stay frozen on the changeset from build #1 for mechanical reasons. Nightlies are not affected by the build bug and the additional debug fix shouldn't cause nightly and beta feedback divergence

* I sent the go to create build #2 using http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/rev/49c3ca45a79f (which is on GECKO20b11_2011020209_RELBRANCH, not the default branch)

Thanks,
Christian
