Current working Firefox 4 beta 8 release schedule

We branched and built Firefox 4 beta 8 last night. During build generation we quickly found an issue with localization repacks:

The issue does not affect en-US builds. Corrected localization repacks will be generated and posted later today to unblock localized testing.

As of right now, we are working with this release schedule (view @ https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases):

* 2010-12-15: All builds available
* 2010-12-20: QA complete
* 2010-12-21 (PST morning): Release to beta audience

If QA finds an issue we will address it quickly and attempt to maintain the above schedule. Of course, there is always the possibility of day-for-day slip depending on issue details.

Firefox 4 mobile beta 3 is currently tracking to the same schedule and an updated Firefox Home has been submitted to the Apple app store.

Unless anyone objects (himself included!) I nominate Christian to act as the co-release-co-ordinator keeping us all in sync on this rollout.
