The success and quality of Firefox is dependent on community members
like you, so we appreciate your help with testing!
Please join the Mozilla QA Community for the Firefox 3 Beta 2 Testday
(We will use the Release Candidate for testing)!
The event will run Friday, December 14th, 2007, from 7am - 5pm PST
How to prepare for the test day:
* We will use the Firefox 3 Beta 2 Release Candidate. We will post a
Download Link on http://quality.mozilla.org/en/node/1131.
* You should either back up your profile or use the profile manager to
create a new profile for testing.
Note: We will test the Release Candidate of Firefox 3 Beta 2 not the
Final Release Version of Firefox 3 Beta 2 on this testday. As soon as
the Firefox 3 Beta 2 Version is released, please update to the released
Version.
How you can help with this test day:*
First join us in #testday on irc.mozilla.org. The choose one or more of
the following things to do:
* Run Basic Functional Tests (bft) / Full Functional Tests (fft) in
Litmus or any test of your choice (we have also special test areas for
Users of Windows Vista and Mac OS 10.5 Leopard). Ask for help in the
testday channel if you're not familiar with Litmus. If a testcase is
terribly unclear, mark it as such. When you have questions about using
Litmus, please ask the moderators in the testday channel or see the
Litmus tutorial.
* If you have time, check out and test intensive the new and improved
Features in Firefox 3 like Addon-Manager , Security/Privacy , Places
(Bookmarks/History) , the new location bar and the Download Manager . If
you see an issue, raise it in #testday so people there can confirm it.
Then search for the bug in Bugzilla . If it's not on file, log the bug
and again mention it in #testday so that it can be confirmed.
Please visit http://quality.mozilla.org/events/test-days for all other
