All,

To clarify when we are freezing: Once we reach zero beta blockers,
we will freeze for beta.

Currently there are 15 platform beta blockers:

http://tinyurl.com/34xe45

And, as of this writing, 27 remaining Firefox beta 1 blockers:

http://people.mozilla.org/~dsicore/bz/

(Just click the link in that page for the list of front end bugs
remaining. URL was too long for tinurl. :-/ ).

To give you an idea of our fix rate, we are down from 21 to 15 on
platform, and down from ~54 on Firefox since the beginning of the
week. I know that 3 of those platform bugs will be closed within the
next couple of hours as well.

Cheers,

Damon

What about all the blockers still targetted at M8, should we not be
considering those beta blockers?

The component drivers tried to identify all bugs which would block
the beta release. They then re-targeted those bugs to M9. The M9
milestone is only the mechanism to track those bugs. A bug can have
any milestone, but that does not preclude it blocking or not blocking
the beta until it is identified as so.

Hopefully this helps?

Helps, it's just a little confusing. Maybe all the M8 targetted bugs
should be retargeted to M10 or later, or even just -- to make the point
they aren't getting in for M9.
