Please join the Mozilla QA Community for a testday on Friday 18.
January, 2008!
As Preparation for the Firefox 3 Beta 3 we will test major Areas of
Firefox 3.
On this testday we will test the new Bookmark and History System Places.
The event will run Friday, January 18th, 2007, from 7am - 5pm PST
How to prepare for the test day:
* Please download on Friday the Firefox Nightly Build
* You should either back up your profile or use the profile manager
to create a new profile for testing.
How you can help with this test day:*
First join us in #testday on irc.mozilla.org. The choose one or more of
the following things to do:
* This testday has the focus on Firefox Places (Bookmark and
History) and
we have special tests in Litmus for this Areas. Ask for help in the
testday channel if you're not familiar with Litmus. If a testcase is
terribly unclear, mark it as such. When you have questions about using
Litmus, please ask the moderators in the testday channel or see
the Litmus tutorial .
* You can find more information about changes and bugs to verify on
the testplan for Places . If you see an issue, raise it in #testday so
people there can confirm
it. Then search for the bug in Bugzilla . If it's not on file, log
the bug and again mention it in #testday so that it can be confirmed.
* When you have time and interest in writing testcases, please ping
Marcia and/or Tomcat in the testday channel. We have also a short
documentation how to write testcases for litmus.
Please visit http://quality.mozilla.org/events/test-days for all other
info regarding the event.
Please use tes...@mozilla.org to send feedback about how the testday
went, any overall thoughts about
the Testday, and roll up of issues found and bugs filed.
We really appreciate your help and your feedback is very valuable.
