Hey Folks,

Looks like we are still tracking down the recent regressions from the
landings. In particular the protocol handler support has some nasty
regressions we would like to fix:

I propose we hold the freeze until Monday evening (23:59 PDT). We can
evaluate where we are on Monday.

As far as I can tell we've landed everything we planned on except for
the xml:id patch (which is still working through performance
regressions). This means our criteria for landing during the freeze is
simple: looking for any major regressions from patches in M7. e.g. if
it shipped in a6 it can wait for m8. We are done with big scary landings.

We will continue to use IRC (#granparadiso) as a channel for seeking
approval. MConnor, schrep, and Roc have been covering so far but I'm
open to any volunteers who would like to help approve check-ins during
the freeze. If you can't get an answer there please just reply here in
the newsgroups and someone will pick it up.

all the best,

Schrep

Thanks to a whole bunch of people jumping on this problem (Karl, Dolske,
Sdwilsh, CTalbert, Dmose, etc). We are pretty far along here. So we
might not have to hold the freeze until Monday evening.
