Hi,

The success and quality of Firefox is dependent on community members
like you, so we
appreciate your help with testing!

Please join the Mozilla QA Community for a testday on Friday, February
1, 2008! On this testday we will test Release Candidate of the upcoming
Firefox Security
Release, Firefox 2.0.0.12.

The event will run Friday, 1st February 2008, from 7am - 5pm PST.

How to prepare for the test day:

* Download the Firefox 2.0.0.12 Release Candidate from here
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/2.0.0.12-candidates/rc1/.
* You should either back up your profile or use the profile manager to
create a new profile for testing.

How you can help with this test day:

First join us in #testday on irc.mozilla.org. The choose one or more of
the following things to do:

* Run Basic Functional Tests (bft) / Full Functional Tests (fft) in
Litmus or any test of your choice. Ask for help in the testday channel
if you're not familiar with Litmus. If a testcase is terribly unclear,
mark it as such. When you have questions about using Litmus, please ask
the moderators in the testday channel or see the Litmus tutorial.

* Focus of this Testday: Extension compatibility and file input form
controls. Please test your favorite extensions with the Firefox 2.0.0.12
candidate build
and ensure they work just like they do in Firefox 2.0.0.11. Also try and
upload files to various popular websites like imageshack.us and
photobucket.com.
Wherever you can upload images and other files, we need it tested.

Please visit http://quality.mozilla.org/events/test-days for all other
info regarding the event.

Please use tes...@mozilla.org to send feedback about how the testday
went, any overall thoughts about the Testday, and roll up of issues
found and bugs filed.

We really appreciate your help and your feedback is very valuable.

If you are interesting in specific Testing on Mac (10.4 and also
Leopard!) and Vista please see http://quality.mozilla.org/en/node/287
and if you want to be more involved in Mozilla in general, please see

Hope to see you on Test Day !

Thanks,

Tomcat
