PDF.js

I need some help pls ... I have downloaded the latest version of
PDF.js from your site.

I really like the layout of the demo you have
so I decided to build my app off of the code in web/viewer.html


problem is it does not work on my local box, the buttons nor the
loading of the default pdf.

How do I make this work offline without a
web server. I am trying to use this in a HTML mobile application.

Also
since I am bothering you I would like to ask how I would go about
extracting the first page of the pdf as a png or jpeg without loading
the pdf into the viewer.
