Mozilla Scheduled Maintenance - 2/5/2008, 7pm - 11pm PST (0300 - 0700 2/6/2007 UTC)

We will have a scheduled maintenance window tonight from 7pm to 11pm
PST. The following changes will take place:
* 7pm PST (0300 UTC) - PHP5 migration. The following websites will be
migrated to our PHP5 cluster: userpanel, reporter and survey. No
downtime is expected.
* 7:00pm PST (0300 UTC) duration 30 minutes: Bugzilla upgrade. We will
be updating Bugzilla to version 3.0.3+, and applying a couple
additional local patches. Downtime will probably be under 5 minutes,
but could last up to 30 minutes. Changes include:
- Send mail in the background after confirming to the user instead
of waiting for the mail to be sent while the user waits (related to
bug 284184 - local backport)
- Fix for a regression from our last upgrade involving mid-air
collision detection (bug 413258/415490)
- Fix for a problem with the OpenSearch plugin (bug 411844)
- Allow searching for '---' in versions and milestones (bug 362436)
- Fix for Subject lines in emails being improperly line-broken and
erratically spaced (bug 411544)
- Add a References header to notification mails to assist with
threading in mail clients (bug 376453)
* 7:30pm PST (0330 UTC) duration 4 hours: Kernel upgrades. We'll be
doing kernel security updates on various machines affecting the
following services for approximately 10 minutes each:
- Email for all domains we host
- Breakpad
- build graphs / pageload tests
- Buildbot "try" server
- CVS, cvs-mirror, SVN, Hg
- quality.mozilla.org
- Bugzilla
- Bonsai
- Joey
- Litmus
- LXR/MXR
- Tinderbox
- ftp.mozilla.org
- stage.mozilla.org
- irc.mozilla.org
- mail.mozilla.org
- lists.mozilla.org
- videos.mozilla.org
- intranet.mozilla.org
- all other dynamic and database-backed websites (addons, blog,
crash-reports, developer, download(bouncer), firefoxflicks, labs,
livetitles, mozilla-europe, pastebin, quality, reporter, survey, wiki,
firefoxparty, worldfirefoxday, addons-facebook)
* 9pm PST (0500 UTC) - Developer.mozilla.org will be patched to
address an issue around breadcrumbs. No downtime is expected.
Please let me know if you have any reason why we should not proceed
with the planned maintenance. As always, we aim to keep downtime to
as little as possible, but unexpected complications can arise causing
longer downtime periods than expected. All systems should be
operational by the end of the maintenance window. Feel free to email
infra at mozilla.com if you see issues past the planned downtime.
