- Reviewing page

The page went live last week. We discussed adding another tab with
more content, but decided that the two tabs were good for now. Adding
another tab would make the full page harder to localize as well, so we
decided to leave it as is for now. If anyone wants to make tweaks,
feel free to open a bug or contact me.

- Reviewing list

We've been receiving a good response so far and the process of
responding has been working as well. One thing that has helped is
having some canned responses that can be sent out to initial
inquiries. A wiki page has been set up where people can add the
responses they use and that could help others with responding:

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozilla.org/Contribute/Canned_responses

It's not clear how the process will work as things scale and more
responses come in. We'll keep an eye on that, but the system is
working fine for now.

- Reviewing VolunteerMatch and other listings

The listings on volunteer referral sites are bringing in most of the
inquiries to the contribute list so far, although we don't have stats
pulled together for that.

We posted a few listings on Idealist earlier in the week as a test and
that makes three sites including VolunteerMatch and Volunteer
Toronto. We discussed using other referal sites and noted that people
are welcome to do that if they'd like -- this could be useful for
certain regions or certain languages.

Having many sites can make updating listings difficult, but listings
are currently written generically enough that they don't need to be
updated often.

If people want to post listings to a new site, please make sure to
have replies go to the contribute list so there's one central place to
watch for replies. If someone would like to add new listings to an
existing site, contact one of us.

- Increasing traffic

In addition to the ideas listed in the notes, we discussed including
the link to the page in any presentations people give and creating a
poster that can be used at events and other off-line places.

There's going to be a snippet running in November pointing to the
page, so we'll see how things work when there is more traffic.

- Mozilla Mentors

We discussed officially having people in each community area who are
in charge of fielding questions about getting involved in that area
and we realized this is how the community is already set up. Instead
of putting a mentor program in place, we just need to document the
different areas and who should receive inquiries. Juan offered to put
a wiki page up we could use.

- Localizing the page

Having the page localized into other languages would certainly be
great and would allow us to have the page linked to from Firefox, so
we decided to talk to Pascal about this. We thought that having a
subset of this page that was quicker to localize might be helpful.

- Meeting times

We felt there was no need to meet regularly, but rather only when a
specific issue comes up that needs discussion. The next issue worth
discussing is how we handled an increase in traffic after the snippet
is in place. David will set up another meeting in late November or
early December.
