I'm using the Firefox browser from 2005 and I think that this is the
best browser from all existing.

But the policy of Mozilla.org is insults my Christian faith. One of
the programs of your organization is called "Technology Evangelism".
But the "Evangelism" means the Gospel propagation for millions
Christians that use your browser. And you are using this word in such
abusive manner.

Please, change the name of this program or I'll use another browser.
And I think that other Christians will do this too.

Thank you for understanding.

Evangelism is not limited to religious matters. Specifically:

"Sharing news of something in order to convince someone to join or
otherwise accept it. The process of evangelizing."

Taken from http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/evangelism

Additionally, throughout the tech world, there's an idea of
"technology evangelism". This isn't limited to Mozilla. There are
evangelists across the industry including Microsoft, Yahoo, Apple, and
Sun, and likely other companies as well.

I don't think using this term is inappropriate and I don't think we're
going to change it any time soon. We've been using the term for years
(at least six, maybe ten) with many Christians working for Mozilla and
contributing to the project, without complaint.

If you're against the term, I'm sure you'll stop using Apple and
Microsoft software as well (which very likely make your operating
system).

Feel free to use whichever browser you'd like.

According to the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language,
Fourth Edition, "evangelism" means "militant zeal for a cause". I guess
that makes you an evangelist.

However, that same dictionary also says that "evangelism" means "zealous
preaching and dissemination of the gospel, as through missionary work".
If that's the only definition you accept, stay away from me. The
implication of "zealous ... missionary work" is that other religions are
false, defective, and worthless. To this Jew, that attitude is rude and
insulting.
