I wanted to send an update to everyone about where we are with the
www.mozilla.org relaunch.

We just imported all current content to the staging site (this doesn't
include anything that has been archived) and we can now start checking
to make sure things are working correctly.

Please go through and check your pages and let us know if there are
any issues either by updating the following wiki page or posting to
the following newsgroup.

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mozilla.org/Redesign/Template_tweaks
http://groups.google.com/group/mozilla.dev.mozilla-org/topics

Note that there are several known issues with the current staging site
(details in blog post below) but feel free to report anything anyway
to make sure everything is covered.

If nothing major is found, we plan to polish things up and go live
with the new site by mid-August. Any changes made to the current site
between now and then will be merged into the new site.

For updates after the new site is live, we will be on Subversion
instead of CVS. I've prepared the beginnings of some Subversion
documentation that you can find below (note that current committers
will be given SVN access in time for the relaunch). If there is any
additional information you'd like, please let me know and I'll update
this page.

We do plan to have a Doctor replacement soon after the launch, but we
don't have the timing finalized yet. The Bespin team is interested in
helping us embed Bespin as an editor and I'll send out more
information when there is an update. If you don't want to use
Subversion to edit the site, we can help you check in changes until
Bespin is ready.

If there are any questions about any of this, please feel free to
respond to me directly or post on the newsgroup.

Thanks,
David

Thanks for the feedback. I've added this to the tweaks page.

The "Our Projects" section seems to have overflow outside of the
section as long as the window width is less than about 2500px.

Er, I guess I should have read the "homepage layout is broken" bit
in the linked blog post.
