To clarify, both RAM and disk caches are *enabled* by default. As things stand right now, most resources will be cached in the disk cache, and not in RAM (IIRC, RAM is reserved for TLS resources served with cache-control no-store).

I don't believe there is any documentation of the flow for the entire cache, no. I am also not aware of how Flash and other plugins make use of the cache.... more »
