Hi!

I tried to edit the Javascript Guide in German language, but when I click the save button I get an error "Permission denied".

What's wrong?

Hi!

This should be fixed now. We have quite a few pages where the link
between a translation and the English version is broken, leading to the
Permission denied error.

I recreated the link so it should be ok.

Have a good editing time!

Thank you, but it's still not working. I try to edit this page:

I've had a "permission denied" too until I discovered that it was needed
to have the following option value:
network.http.sendRefererHeader = 2

Maybe have you changed that option on your side too?

For the record a ticket has been created on this issue:
"I can't modify a page while I used to be able to before the Kuma switch"
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=789016

Cheers,

You are right. The value was set to 0, so the referrer was not sent. I am awfully sorry that I haven't checked that immediately.

Merci beaucoup. :-)

I have updated the "Getting started" doc for MDN to note that you need to have a referrer header sent in order to be able to save:

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Project:Getting_started#Editing_pages

Thanks for figuring this out!
