One thing that has been suggested recently is that we create a system
through which users can quickly and easily send feedback comments from any
given page of the MDC site, without having to deal with Talk pages or
registering on the wiki (or anywhere else).

I think the easiest thing to do would be to have an mdc-feedback@ mailing
list set up, then embed a mailto: link in the footer of the wiki skin. That
mailto: could pre-populate the Subject: line with the name or URL of the
page.

Does this seem like a reasonable/sufficient system? If we did this, should
mdc-feedback@ have a newsgroup as well? Can you think of other, better ways
to do this?

We could use a submission page like hendrix.mozilla.org uses, which
would also let us split effectively by language or whatever else, and
wouldn't necessarily require that people have a working mailto:
handler. (I'm finding that quite a few people don't, to my ongoing
chagrin.)

But mail might be the easiest thing, and if we have a mailing list we
should definitely gate it to new/google-groups for ease of scanning
and tracking.

What sort of feedback would you be expecting through this? Would
allowing anonymous posting to Talk pages be sufficient? (Or we could
do some hacking to allow you to register and comment/edit at the same
time, since there's no validation anyway....)

i strongly nod with you that we can not quickly and easily send feedback
comments or something.
# and we can not view overall of discussions, etc.

it's one easiest way to resolve such problem with making mailing list.

how do we, localized MDC wikis, discuss like it?
i think it's not acceptable to send such localized ones to mdc-feedback@.
(of cource, the primary document may be -en's, so most of discussions would
be for -en...)

I really like the idea.

One thing though, instead of embedding the feedback link in the
footer, I think we should put it in a more prominent location to make
it more visible than the Discussion (talk page) link.
