Hi Sergey,

This is the correct place to request features -- the development team definitely reads this list.

As Kumar said, we're always evaluating different payment providers, but it's quite cumbersome to support many payment types and we plan to launch with only a few and assess what locales and markets aren't sufficiently addressed in the future.

As PayPal supports 190 countries, has more than 100 million active accounts, and has the features we need, we've decided to launch with them, but that doesn't mean we won't consider Moneybookers in the future.

I'm glad you're interested in the Marketplace and I hope we'll have better support for your country soon.

Hi Kumar,

Thank you for your response.

PayPal international support looks good only if it is not compared to moneybookers. Here is list of supported countries: http://www.moneybookers.com/app/help.pl?s=fees

As you can see - moneybookers supports withdrawal to all countries without exceptions and limitations. As user of moneybookers I can confirm that it indeed works without problems.

So, what is official way to suggest features for marketplace? Should I do something to pass this request to marketplace dev team? Or do they read this mailing list?

Hi Sergey.
We recognize that, as Mozilla, we have a worldwide community therfore one of our top priorities in finding a payment provider was to allow as many countries as possible to participate in the marketplace. Out of all the payment providers we considered, PayPal did indeed have the widest international reach: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-approved-signup-countries-outside

We realize that this does not work seamlessly with all countries and we are always reviewing other payment providers.

Hello all,

After checking some details about ongoing mozilla marketplace I've found that it supports withdrawal only to PayPal. Unfortunately, PayPal does not support all countries well. For example, it allows to withdraw money to Russia only to US bank account. I live in Russia and I have no idea how I can get US bank account.

PayPal is not friendly for many other countries: most of former USSR, many Eastern Europe countries, Asia, Africa, etc (details are here: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_display-approved-signup-countries-outside). Somebody may think that this is not important. But look: Ubuntu was started by guy from South Africa (which is also not supported well by PayPal). So, I believe that it IS important for any platform to properly support international developers.

For this reason I'd like to suggest more withdrawal options. In particular, wire transfer and moneybookers.com will be very nice.

I hope that dev-marketplace list is a good place for feature requests. If not - please let me know what is right place for this.
