Hi guys,

Good news - L10n nightly updates:
=================================
We now have l10n updates available on the 1.9.1 branch (builds that
will become Thunderbird 3) as well as on trunk. Please tell your users,
who regularly test Thunderbird about this.

Release schedule:
=================
The TB developers are still aiming for an RC1 code freeze on October
30, an RC1 l10n freeze on November 2 (both at 23:59 PST) and the RC1
release on November 3.

However, at the time of writing there are still 35 blocker bugs open
for TB3, which might not all make it in time. If that happens and the
schedule slips a bit, I'll let you know immediately and you may get
more time for tanslations and QA.

We also do not know yet, whether we need an RC2 or not. If it turns
out that we do, I'll let you know and we will take additional opt-ins
fo that as well.

Updated opt-ins:
================
With all the QA that you are currently doing on your localized TB3
builds, please do not forget to update your opt-in changeset when
you push changes to your 1.9.1 hg repo.

Dashboard update:
=================
At the time of writing we still have 41 green locales (counting the
two Japanese locales as one locale) on the dashboard. One more locale
(uk) should turn green once buildbot picks up their latest changes.

From the remaining locales with less than 500 missing strings I've
gotten assurances that they will update their locales soon. So we
will shoot for 49 locales (incl. en-US) for the TB3 final release.

Opt-in update:
==============
We still have only 26 locales, who have opted-in so far with only
five days to go until the l10n freeze/cutoff date. So if you think
you are ready, then please update your opt-in changeset or opt-in
for Thunderbird 3.

Do you mean that nightlies can be updated with Help > Check for updates
or that the day-to-day updates will come in automatically?

Regards.

It depends on your settings. iirc the default settings are that the
nightly build will automatically check for updates and download them.

If you turn that option off, or if you want to try forcing an update
anyway, then you can use Help -> Check for updates.

Scrap that last sentence. I misread the last uk changeset. It covered
SeaMonkey, not Thunderbird.

We're at 43 green locales now.

We're now at 31 locales who have opted-in.

Another update:
We've 44 green locales now. Be was green, but due to the stuff I talked
about in <81be2f03e4778a01...@thorongil.babylonsounds.com>

I'm still waiting for the updates from the bg, en-GB, pt-BR and uk folks.
I'll be mailing them separately in a short while.

We have 37 locales who have opted in so far. I'm still missing seven
locales (af, cs, eu, ja, ja-JP-mac, ko, pl, ta-LK) who are green, but
have not opted in yet.

I'm also missing an update from the ta-LK folks, who have a green
dashboard, but need to translate some more strings to be part of this
release (target is at least 80% completion ratio as reported by
compare-locales or the dashboard).

I've been without net access since last Wednesday, and just this morning
I managed to corrupt my local hg repository, when trying to synchronise
back to hg.mozilla.org.

Sorry, en-GB isn't going to make it for 3.0.0.

Mark, en-GB.

Mark, I'm sorry to hear that.

Right now it doesn't look like we will release the RC1 on time
today as there are still some (25) blocker bugs open which need to
be fixed. So I can still give you some time if you think that you
can manage things within the next 2-3 days.

Please also keep in mind that there's the possibility that we may
need a second release candidate (RC2) for which you could opt-in
later.

So if there's a chance that you might still finish this, please get
to it and we'll try to make a TB3 release happen for en-GB as well.

One more thing:
There's always a 3.0.1 release coming as well :-)

Hi Simon,

We sent a mail regrading this to you and now we reached more than 80%.
Sorry for the delay

Thanks

I've now fixed my repository, and synchronised to hg.mozilla.org. I
think I've fixed the toolkit breakage; I'll opt in tomorrow if
everything is green and looks OK.

Hi Simon,
Any chance for a last minute change in Greek opt in?
Please use this
http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/l10n-mozilla-1.9.1/el/rev/076eda82dbd3
since it fixes an attachment reminder bug in Greek (thee was not any
translation of the attachment keywords)
