Hi,

more than week ago we discussed in Prague on MozCamp 2009 with Seth and
Gerv about Bugzilla component for local Mozilla communities. We (Czech
Mozilla community) want to have place where we can track bugs which are
related to our local websites and local community.

Some local communities have own installations of Bugzilla. We don't want
to go this way because it's too big for us. So there is offer to have
special component in bugzilla.mozilla.org.

Are any local communities which want to go this way with us and have
component in bugzilla.mozilla.org? Is it useful for some local
communities? See bug 520454, especially comment#6.

I'm from the Mozilla México community and I believe this bugzilla component
for communities will be usefully, I don´t know if there are problems in
Mozilla to do that, I mean, some restrictions in the IT infraestructure or
something like that.

Question:
Can one community ask for multiple components, or limited to one only?

Currently we use Google Code to track issues.

The big problem I think is that when the user report, bugzilla should
display the localized UI to a normal end user, who might not be able to
read/write Engilish.

That particular issue seems to be out of the scope of this project.
Bugzilla doesn't support locale switching AFAIK.

Bugzilla itself supports localization and provides them based on
Accept-language header in requests.
http://www.bugzilla.org/download/#localizations

We will have another schema for determing which localization to provide.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=421265

Another issue for this will be that we should find someone to create
template sets per laguages to fit with the customizations at bmo. (on its
bzr repos.)

I'm not sure. For us (Czech Mozilla Community) is one component enough.
Better ask directly in bug.

In fact, it does, using the browser user-agent (and one needs to add all
the localized templates in the en-US installation), but bugzilla is
currently localized in very few languages:
