I'm wondering how Ubuntu make and distribute localized versions for their apps. For example, we here at Mozilla have been working hard in order to offer an official Vietnamese version of Firefox. However, on Launchpad, the Ubuntu-VN team are now making their own translations for the "firefox" package.
It's sad to think that our hard work wouldn't be used. And more over, it looks like both teams are wasting our time and efforts.
So I'd like to ask if this is a kind of issues which is out of Mozilla's hands, and we should live with it? Or is there something we can do? How about other locales?
