The plugin-crashed UI is now in its pretty-much-final form on the Lorentz
branch. I have landed the new strings for this features on 1.9.2 but marked
them optional on that branch in filter.py. They are *not* marked optional on
the Lorentz branch dashboard, so you should get warning status there until
they are fully translated.

For more information about the UI, see the screenshots in bug 550293.

The complete list of strings to translate is linked in this patch:

http://hg.mozilla.org/releases/mozilla-1.9.2/rev/3a6d01ad4e52

We plan on doing weekly Lorentz betas starting tomorrow or the next day,
using the 1.9.2 localizations. Until you have added the translated strings,
the localized betas will display the plugin-crash UI in a fallback English
translation.

I'll let Axel give more details about exact cutoff dates and such later, but
the current goal is to include the OOPP functionality in Firefox 3.6.3,
scheduled for beta in early-mid April and final release near the end of April.

Not sure if we need to report revisions here or not, but anyway,
landed Persian (fa) strings as:

I expect to open up a milestone on the new dashboard for sign-offs on
lorentz betas.

Hi Benjamin,

is https://wiki.mozilla.org/Plugins/OOPP_Testing the best docu on
testing the lorentz strings? I'd be more looking for coverage testing of
the new strings than functional testing.

Since "coverage" involves crashing things, it's a little complicated.
Probably the easiest way to test is to visit a page which harmlessly
exploits a known Flash crash:

http://flashcrash.dempsky.org/

This should give you the in-page UI. To test the notification-bar version of
the UI, you can add this to your userContent.css:

@-moz-document domain(flashcrash.dempsky.org) {
embed {
width: 1px !important;
height: 1px !important;
}
}

Shut down Firefox and re-open to visit the flashcrash.dempsky.org page
again, but this time the crash information should appear in the notification
bar because the in-page plugins are too small.

It used to work fine last week when I tried, not working on the latest
nightly (20100402).
