main.lang checker

For people working on mozilla.com / mozilla-europe.org and soon on
mozillamessaging.com, I wrote last week end a tool to check the state of
translation of your main.lang file vs the reference file (which is in
the en-GB folder), here it is:

There you choose the website and you just have to look at your locale
status, like for mozilla.com:
http://l10n.mozilla.org/~pascalc/main_lang/?site=1
You can also bookmark your own locale for a specific project:
http://l10n.mozilla.org/~pascalc/main_lang/index.php?locale=sl&site=1
You have a link to your main.lang file at the bottom of each box.
Listed strings in the box can be of two types:
"Missing string", it means that the English version has strings that are
not translated in your own main.lang file (which in practice means that
if we use this string in a script, there will be a fallback to English).
"Identical string", it means that the string is in your main.lang file
but your translation is identical to English, which can be normal for
strings like our product names, or strings that are spelt the same in
your own language (like Navigation which is the same word in English and
French).
It can also happen that some strings are in the main.lang file and
appear untranslated but they are actually not used currently,
specifically it happens for strings that we used in Firefox 2 times when
the websites had different menus, or strings that are related to surveys
that we ran for a limited number of locales.
It's always safe to have that dozen strings translated even if they are
not currently used on the site though :)
It's not a major tool, I just needed it for maintenance and I thought I
would share it with you all. I do intend to improve it incrementally
over time and integrate it in some way to the web dashboard.

PS: if you click on the links and it takes up to 2 minutes to have the
page displayed, that's normal, it just means that locally cached data is
too old and you are regenerating the cached data with your click, data
is cached for 12 hours

it's really helpful. I thought everything was OK for Basque but it seems
it isn't.

Should we commit the updated main.lang both in mozilla.com and
mozilla-eruope.org? Is the same file used in the both places or they
differs?

There is a different main.lang file per website (although there are some
common strin) so you should update both.

Once again, thanks for this handy tool!.
I Updated el files for mozilla.com and mozilla-europe.org with
revisions 25886 and 25890 respectively, but what's the story with the
mozillamessaging main.lang file?
PS
I added the word "Mozilla" to the "European Community Blog" string
because otherwise it sounds like it's an EU blog in my language :)

mozillamessaging.com will get localized pages in the near future, the
site is already potentially localizable, it's just that there isn't any
content yet, hence the error message saying that the file is missing on
the site :)

This is now done:

When your main.lang file have missing strings, it now tells you in the
web dashboard and the rss feed for your locale with a link to the
main.lang checker to give you more precise details.
