I just added Slovenian and took the opportunity to extract strings from
the source again. The next production update is on the 13th and I hope
to push the new developer tools live then.
Thanks,

There's a sizeable difference between the SVN contents and what
verbatim shows - i.e. at least in SL case.
i) verbatim has 3 files: messages.po, javascript.po, z-messages.po
(22,299 words)
ii) svn has 3 files messages.po, javascript.po, r-messages.po
(totaling 28,356). Interesting:
This means that once you have finished with verbatim, you still have
about 6000 (~20%) words to go. And of course it means the two
repositories have not been synced lately, at least when it comes to
SL.
The big difference is in the messages.po- it expanded from ~2,900 to
close to 10,000 words - numbers may not match 100%, because I have
already translated a part of the difference,
Note that the localizer could at least be spared the languages list.
It can be found elsewhere, in Lightning and/or Toolkit I guess. I am
localizing it now the third time for Mozilla - thank God for
translation memories.

This is mostly verbatim's fault. The real file stops at 5800 lines, the
other 8000 lines are deprecated strings that Verbatim added in (and
shouldn't have). Bug 623634 is sort of tracking that.
I don't think it's asking localizers to translate those strings, but if
you look at the raw file or the number of strings, they're inaccurate.

For those interested in following this bug, here is the link:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=623634
I am hoping that any comments in this thread that serve as points to
isolate the bug and reproduce it can be added to the bug so the Pootle
developers have a chance to fix it.
(Added Alaa, Friedel, and Dwayne from Pootle (and who may already be on
the distribution list) to this thread so they see the comments.)

There's still a disconnect between verbatim and SVN in case of SL
Verbatim shows z-messages.po and SVN r-messages.PO.
I am sticking for now to SVN version. As I am the only one working
on this project and have everything (keep my fingers crossed) locally,
whoever is handling the verbatim side of the story, has my go-ahead
to do whatever is necessary to synchronize to Sync.
