Correct attachments are not allowed on the newsgroup/list. Use a
pastebin service for text files, if you need to share a whole file
host it yourself or use a file hosting service.

You'll also have to ponder how the answer depends on what you put into
the sandbox. After multiple attempts I concluded that the sandbox itself
is a bad idea. Only two people seem to understand it and I can't
understand their explanations. I think there is an alternative that
would be easier to analyze:

My customer does not want to hide it. He wants it minimized and when the user mouses over the toolbar is appears in regular form.

Hi All,
I have an application where I needs to minimize the toobar to a 2 or 3 pixel
height for all versions of Firefox 3.0 and above. After mucking around for a
few hours it seems that I cannot get the height less than about 8-10 pixels.
Is there a way to get the toolbar to a height of about 2pixels? I nbelieve

Judging from the previous discussions on this topic, the fact that 386635 is
not fixed yet, and the text on the wiki page, I think yes, it's currently
unsafe.
(If you need the definitive answer, you should try getting it directly from
the core developers, who usually don't follow dev-extensions very closely.

Hi, I am looking for opinions on possible solution to the storage of
data by an extension that I have been working on. It is fairly complex
and I've been trying to figure out the best solution for a while so I
thought I'd present it here.
The extension needs to store information attached to web pages.

You might find it easier to use a singleton JS module instead of a
singleton XPCOM component. Concerning killing of the thread, thread
manangement from extension javascript has been notoriously difficult
in the past. It might be easier (albeit not more performant) for your
thread to periodically check if any navigator:browser windows are open
