[dev-extensions] Error messages related to the chrome code

Hello,
I am working with chrome code and I noted that whenever an error occurs
generally no message is displayed in the JavaScript console.
Is this an annoying limitation of Firefox? Or, do I need to enable an option
to have this kind of error properly displayed?
