invoking "save as" command

Hi. I'm developing an extension for firefox 2.0 that, besides other
things, must be able to save the actual web page to the local filesystem
(with also the images, scripts, stylesheets, etc). I'm wondering if for
this job I can just call the "save as" command (the same command invoked
when you do a "menu file"-> "save as").
