The following article will hopefully appear in next week's about:mozilla
https://wiki.mozilla.org/About:mozilla - so we are on the hook to have
these 3 features available in a stable nightly for testing purposes next
Friday.

(And we plan to announce later, a second testday for remaining beta 1
new features, to occur after the 11-18 code-freeze.)

-----------------------------------------------------------------
Thunderbird team continues to drive new features in for the next release
of Thunderbird https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:Home. Please help us
during testday Friday November 14
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:QA_TestDay:2008-11-14 to test the
following new features that will go into the beta 1 release:
* Gloda
* Non-RDF folder pane
* Threaded cross-folder views

Gloda (global database) is is an indexer and database, the backend to
major improvements to come in search capability, data aggregation and
visualization, and productivity. Gloda works in the background, and is a
layer on top of (not a replacement for) the existing folder-centric
message storage mechanism. Non-RDF folder pane provides backend
improvements for future improvements to the folder pane, and also allows
extensions to access and modify the folder pane more easily. The
testday goals for Gloda and non-RDF are to check for regressions.
Threaded cross-folder views provides a long awaited capability to do
grouping and threading in saved search views that span multiple folders.

Please visit https://wiki.mozilla.org/Thunderbird:QA_TestDay:2008-11-14
on Friday Novemeber 14 for information about obtaining builds and
details on how to test.
