I've landed support for IMAP RFC 4551 on the trunk. It will be in
tomorrow's nightly build. See
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=436151 for more info about
what this does, but the brief summary is as follows:

If your IMAP server doesn't support CONDSTORE, then you shouldn't notice
any difference.

If your IMAP server does support CONDSTORE, then clicking on a large
imap folder should generate a lot less network traffic, in normal
situations (i.e., you're relatively up to date with that folder, and
haven't accessed it from an other client). Newer versions of Zimbra and
Cyrus support CONDSTORE.

If you start having trouble with IMAP in tomorrow's build, you might
want to try turning off condstore support, either by toggling
mail.server.default.use_condstore to false, or
mail.server.serverxxx.use_condstore, where serverxx is the particular
imap server causing problems.

How do I know my server supports it? I read Cyrus 2.2.12 does not
support it, but how can I be sure?

Tnx.
