My thought resolves to Yes. Instead of the standard links I propose test
oriented links.
    * Bugzilla - Bug verification and search pages plus how to submit a Bug.
    * MozillaZine KB - links to standard troubleshooting guide, etc.
    * Newsgroups @ news.mozilla.org
          o mozilla.support.thunderbird
          o mozilla.feedback.thunderbird.prerelease
    * Any related Wiki links.
    * Mozillazine Forums - ?
Page will need new text and some artwork, but the layout can be based on
release page.
As for news, the prerelease group would be nice for discussion, but it
is currently being a Hendrix dumping ground of stuff that should be
going to the non-pre feedback group. Thought: Should Hendrix be a Blog
so commenter's could see others comments?
The regular Nightly Testers probably know this stuff, the ones I think
we will attract may need some training on how to test.

Who is General Failure, and why is he searching my HDD?
Kernel Restore reported BSOD use by Major Error to msg the enemy!
I think that's a good idea, but I don't think we'll have time to figure
this all out for a1. Definitely worth doing for a2, though.
Could you file a bug, and nominate it for 3.0a2?

The bug was filed last night after consultation with Gary during the
Bugday activities.
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=430762
Gary confirmed and annotated the a2 nomination.
FWIW, I pulled copies of the content from the Tb 2 start page web link.
I think a web link offers better flexibility than the use of the
internal chrome link used in the Nightly builds. That way we avoid a
frozen package that delays revisions till the next build.
My suggestion is to host the Start Page on the Mozilla Messaging site. I
like that solution as it aids our identity as a Community independent of
MoCo or MoOrg.
