I have that installed, and it works well. I was just hoping that vCard
functionality would be part of the core functionality in future
versions of TB.

Funny, I was just a moment ago reading about the forthcoming CardDAV [1]
standard and it mentions a WIP for vCard 4 [2]
Seeing that vCard 3.0 was approved as standards RFC [3] in Spetember
1998 I would be surprised if there is much demand for anything less than v3.

I am quite surprised that vCard functionality isn't built-in, but having
said that, the only place I've ever needed it was adding an addressbook
to my DECT handsets at home.
With an addition to the WebDAV/CalDAV family though, it becomes far more
compelling...
