AFAIK, that's what BlueGriffon does.
"BlueGriffon is an intuitive application that provides Web authors
(beginners or more advanced) with a simple User Interface allowing to
create attractive Web sites without requiring extensive technical
knowledge about Web Standards."

BlueGriffon is not what I would call intuitive.

My use case is editing html files, so try this
save http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/cda/recipe_print/0,1946,FOOD_9936_323440_RECIPE-PRINT-FULL-PAGE-FORMATTER,00.html
open w/ BG
delete all of the "print sizes" junk on the right side
-- kind of a pain - right?
don't save
open w/ SM
file / edit page
click on html tags (if that option exists in bluegriffon it is >>not<<
intuitively obvious where it's hidden)
click on the yellow div tag at the top left of print sizes, press delete
all gone :)

After some more point 'n kliking in BlueGriffon it turns out that yes,
there is a view / all tags mode but clicking on a tag doesn't do
squat. Oh.. wait... one has to >>double click<< on a tag to select
it. Right. Intuitively obvious; in the windows world left click
selects and left double click launches.
If there's an option to reformat the source html I haven't found it.
Poking around a bit more gets me to the about:config page that has a property
extensions.lastPlatformVersion with a value of 19.0a1
I downloaded FF 20.0 on 4/2, BlueGriffon on 4/24
I am not a fan of the moz rapid release schedule, but if BlueGriffon
isn't going to base their code on the ESR release train they need to
jump on the rapid release merry-go-round same as SeaMonkey

OK - hardly an unbiased review, but I *like* Composer and haven't had
any reason to switch.
Until now maybe :(
Save http://biology.clc.uc.edu/Fankhauser/Cheese/Ginger_Ale_Ag0.htm
open w/ SM, file / edit, try to delete the 2nd row in the top table.

Is there an easy way to see the side-by-side differences between SM
2.17 and 2.17.1?
Not that there's much chance of me figuring out what change broke
Composer's ability to delete table rows, but 2.17 could & I'm hoping
the delta between 2.17 and 2.17.1 isn't that large.

is that what you wanted? Perhaps i did not understand, due to lack of
English or that i do not use the composer. Nor create webpages.

Yes.

If you didn't use SeaMonkey Composer to edit the page, what did you use?

Well, i do not use the composer except in this case to test your
example. ;) I have selected the row with a left click, then from the
context menu Table Delete->Row(s).

Intuitive even for one who does not use the composer. But i am using the
composer of SM 2.20a1. Seems, that the bug is fixed.

Yes, seems like it is. Yay!

Now... where did you get SM 2.20a1 from? I don't see anything later
than 2.18b3-candidates at
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/

I am compiling my own SM's. Nearly daily. You can get a 2.20a1 from
http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/seamonkey/nightly/latest-comm-central-trunk/

If you're really interested, you could also try the 2.19a2 and 2.18b3
builds to see when it was first "fixed".

Note that the "a" builds will try to update themselves daily, which you
might not appreciate.

In that case, could you give us a quick readout of the potential upsides
and downsides of integrating it into the suite in place of Composer?

What impediments would there be -- technical, legal, logistical, etc.?

How doable is it?
