SM 2.0a1 lost Form Manager prefs - did it lose the form fill feature?

SM 1.5 and all previous versions of SM had a sub-panel in the prefs,
under "Privacy & Security", named "Forms". The "Form Manager" panel
contained a single checkbox, by which the user could enable or disable
SM's ability to remember form contents and fill them in on the next visit,
and two buttons by which one could manage remembered form contents and
also the sites for which form contents would be remembered.
I used it a lot.

SM 2.0a1 does not have this panel in prefs, and as far as I can tell,
the equivalent functionality does not appear in any other prefs panel,
either.

Did we lose the feature entirely?
Was this planned or accidental?

We don't have the panel any more. The pref for globally enabling form
fill is now browser.formfill.enable and there is a bug for adding it
back in to preferences. There is no form manager for saved form data or
sites never saved any more.

To make it clear, there is no explicit UI for it any more. The data is
stored with the pref set to true, and we'll re-add it in a pref panel in
the new pref window (see
<https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=390158>).
You'll see a dropdown appearing doing autocomplete when you type in
forms that have saved values, you can also trigger the dropdown with the
arrow-down key on textboxes. If you focus some stored entry with the
down arrow key and press Ctrl+Del, you can delete that explicit entry.
The bug cited above also talks about probably adding an option to delete
all stored form data, which is stored in the formhistory.sqlite database
file in your user profile.
