Hi all,

The new open bug charts is not very informative, given that it only has
data since the bm reorg:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/reports.cgi?product=SeaMonkey&datasets=NEW:&datasets=ASSIGNED:&datasets=REOPENED:&datasets=UNCONFIRMED:
I think there's a bug about this somewhere out there, but not sure if it
will or can be solved.

Here's a list of interesting queries we could target to work on:

Remaining UNCONFIRMED (494 bugs found):
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&product=SeaMonkey&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED

We should actually target all bugs to be confirmed or resolved (possibly
as incomplete, dupes, wfm, or whatever).

ASSIGNED bugs without comments for a year (24 bugs found):
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&product=SeaMonkey&bug_status=ASSIGNED&chfieldto=Now&negate0=1&field0-0-0=longdesc&type0-0-0=changedafter&value0-0-0=-365d

We should keep an eye on those, but given the small number, we probably
don't need any action immediately.

Unresolved bugs in the "General" component (555 bugs found):
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&resolution=---&product=SeaMonkey&component=General

Those should be sorted to other components where useful, or, of course,
resolved as dupes/incomplete/invalid/wfm/whatever if they can't be
considered valid bugs as of now. General should not usually be a place
for bugs being left in.

NEW non-enh bugs without comments for since the SeaMonkey project was
started (2374 bugs found):
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?query_format=advanced&product=SeaMonkey&bug_status=NEW&bug_severity=blocker&bug_severity=critical&bug_severity=major&bug_severity=normal&bug_severity=minor&bug_severity=trivial&chfieldto=Now&negate0=1&field0-0-0=longdesc&type0-0-0=changedafter&value0-0-0=2005-03-10

We inherited all those from Mozilla suite days and they haven't been
touched since we started our project. I see that some of those are
actually enh requests but not labeled as such, which also would be a
good change to make. A number might be WFM on trunk, incomplete, or
belonging to other products/components, like MailNews Core, Toolkit, or
whatever. I know this is a pretty huge list, but maybe we can shrink to
it get more useful, there seems to be a good number of low-hanging fruit
in there.

I'm open to comments about those queries - and of course, I'd be very
happy about people working on triaging the bugs in those queries!

Greetings and thanks for any help,

Robert Kaiser

Best regards,
