Hi Antony,
Will assume you updated on Windows from Firefox 3.0.11 to Firefox 3.5
Maybe you can put the recently added ones aside and restore them later.
But your bookmarks current to some time today or yesterday may be
available
bookmarks (men), Organize bookmarks (Library view),
Import and Backup, Restore
Check the dates and if you have a recent one you are set, this is done
from within Firefox while Firefox is running.
On the other hand if you do not have five recent dates there then
I expect you created a new profile, and would want to see if you have
other profiles. You can check the date that the profile directory was
created. Don't delete anything, you may delete the wrong stuff.
You can see if you have more than one profile by bringing up the
Firefox Profile Manager see
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Creating_a_new_Firefox_profile_on_Windows
after the first window, that comes up see if you have more than one
profile listed. Your original profile is called default.. You're just checking
for that, you are not looking to create a new profile, but to start the
correct profile, if you have more than one.

I like to install the "Open Profile Folder" extension, it makes getting
to your current profile a lot faster, your other profiles would be in
the directory above your current profile.

HTH,
David McRitchie, extensions I use are briefly documented on my site
Firefox Custom: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/firefox/firefox.htm
Did you use this profile with a beta at some point and then go back to
using it with Firefox 3 before upgrading to Firefox 3.5?
