Greetings!

I just upgraded to FF 3.5 and I expected to see some non-compliant add-
ons and such, so I was ready...

But, I wasn't ready for all the missing buttons that I had before.. as
well as the goggle tool-bar assist/auto fill feature..

I did see somewhere, that FF knows of the problem and is trying to
resolve it.

Will they be available soon once again?

Thanks in advance...

Wish you knew where somewhere was.
If it was real recent, perhaps History Sidebar ("Ctrl+H") then view by
last visited or use the search

I don't have Google tool-bar, and in general avoid
extensions with toolbars, and if they have them I generally
leave them out of of view.

If you have "Show Keywords" extension at least disable it
as it drops all customization buttons from customization and
toolbars but leaves those on status bar alone. Removing the
extension cleared up problem. The extension resurrected itself
from a restored backup that accumulates files, retaining them even if I later
delete them from my system. Even that would not be a problem
had I not tried to rebuild extensions indexes.

Does this seem to address your problem

HTH,
David McRitchie, extensions I use are briefly documented on my site
Firefox Custom: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/firefox/firefox.htm

You didn't exactly say which solution, if it was "Show Keywords"
extension then replacement would be "Keyword Manager" but I
expect it more likely the fix corrupt localstore.rdf

Sorry for the late reply ~

I used the Safe mode option and they all returned....

However, I tried to return (them) regularly so that it will remain as
such, but to no avail... they still disappear and I always have to use
the safe mode option to get them to come back..

Maybe I am not following the directions correctly...

recommendations?

"Bennjamin Garcia" ...

Try using the delete localstore.rdf method mentioned in the same
article. I guess by now you have the formatting of your toolbars
pretty much memorized. Just for the record what version of
Firefox and what operating system. If the delete method works
and continues to hold, while the marking within Safe Mode does not
continue to work, The article should be marked as such.

If it works, please wait a day or two to make sure
that it continues to work and then post back. If it fails post back sooner.

If you can force the problem to occur, you might make some developers
very happy. Well maybe not very happy, but it would help if they have
something to consistently make it fail.

BTW, am assuming you see the buttons added by extensions either on
the toolbars or in customization. If all the extension added buttons have
disappeared completely (not in customize) then that would be an extension
problem, can't remember which one but it is an obsolete extension.
