The setting of plugin click to play to true interferes with the function of controls of some plugins with Firefox 14.0.1 on Mac OS 10.6.8. I tried that with YouTube Flash videos, and the controls for setting full screen or a larger frame did not work at all. Any other plugin controls that I have ever used simply controlled whether the plugins loaded, but once loaded, they functioned normally. Why does the plugin control for Firefox mess up video controls?

I'm unable to reproduce the issue that you're describing. Can you please file a bug for this with some detailed steps to reproduce?

Even with all add-ons disabled, the problem still occurs, so it is not an extension causing the problem. All I have to do is set plugin.click_to_play to true, and start up a Flash video on YouTube, and the video controls are completely useless. It might be a Mac-only problem, I have no way to know that, but it means that the setting is useless to me.

I have now filed the bug. There is another small problem, with audio plugins. The audio placeholder has the "tap to activate" instruction right at the bottom, and half the text is cut off at the bottom.
