Balloon Help

Does anyone know how to disable balloon help in Firefox 2. It drives
me nuts when I'm trying to drag a URL to the bookmarks bar and and it
obscures the folder I want to put it into with "drag and drop this icon
to create a link to this page."

In about:config, set browser.chrome.toolbar_tips to false.

(Although it was quick to answer, someone is sure to suggest that this
sort of question really belongs in the support group rather than dev.
Not that I would do such a thing.)

Although, at least for me, this also disables tooltips in content.
