Ability to change the application's update channel

To increase the participation in and awareness of application's beta
programs and specifically Firefox's beta program we will be providing
the ability to change the application update channel within the
application. This will be an opt-in for each application.

The details in the wiki are by no means complete but they should provide
a place to start from

I'm personally leaning toward not offering the nightly channel since all
release build users will have this ability and nightly channel builds
are much more likely to cause problems that beta channel builds. There
can always be an in product link to provide info about testing nightly
builds if that is desirable.
